Our services are performed under the direction of an Industrial Hygienist, Building Scientist, Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQP) and NADCA/VSMR personnel in accordance with:

BRS is heavily involved in the maintenance and hygiene of air conveyance systems. In order to provide a thorough cleaning process we utilize many methods in our source removal approach. Our methods include installation of access openings, crawling and hand vacuuming, negative pressures through state-of-the-art equipment, agitation, mechanical brushing, encapsulation, and cleaning of coils, fans, blowers and all internal parts of the HVAC system.
Building Remediation Sciences employs a team of Certified Mold and Mechanical Hygiene (CMMH) and National Air Duct Cleaners (NADCA) certified professionals who are experienced and competent in every aspect of mold remediation. In conjunction with our team of Industrial Hygienists, Building Scientist, consultants and other professionals we can ensure that losses are mitigated in accordance with protocol.
ECT protocols developed by Pure Air Control Services and their scientists is used to effectively clean hard surfaces and treat mold contaminated wood structures as well as drywall and other building materials. ECT is a process that can be used on-line without damaging building materials or requiring massive cleanup.

Public Works Naval Submarine Base
BRS performs ongoing air handler and duct work restoration for the Naval Base since 2003 to present. The goal is to improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency of the HVAC systems in numerous facilities throughout the base.
Federal Aviation Administration
BRS performed a critical HVAC remediation project for air handlers and duct work serving the Air Traffic Control Center. The project was designed and phased to be performed while the facility was in full operation.

Building Remediation Sciences routinely works in the federal, state and municipal government arenas providing comprehensive environmental IAQ remediation services as well as technical and consulting services.
Ongoing work in the government marketplace requires flexibility, knowledge of labor laws specific accounting procedures, a regimented management approach, and an understanding of the various planning and reporting requirements necessary for the different government concerns. The key to BRS’ success in the government business arena has been our ability to accommodate the specific requirements of the various government entities.
BRS recognizes the strong emphasis placed on government purchasing protocol, quality assurance, health and safety, and security issues. Purchase orders, subcontracts and other direct charge purchases are all requisitioned under appropriate federal, state and municipal purchasing guidelines.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAM
All Pure Air Control Services divisions, including BRS, operate under the same Corporate Health and Safety Program. Our Corporate Health and Safety Program includes several sections ranging from Roles and Responsibilities to policies for several Critical Work Procedures. If the scope of a job changes, hazards are identified before the job resumes.

SITE SPECIFIC HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
Before BRS undertakes an environmental project a Site Specific Health and Safety Plan is prepared.
This Safety plan documents all critical information on the project including responsibilities, site health specific job tasks, safe work procedures, planned job observations, utility locates, on site documents, emergency contacts, emergency response plan, visitors log, safety meeting minutes, and incident reports. Weekly “job-box” meetings are held and all BRS employees and sub-contractors receive company orientation.
Understanding the goals and expectations of our clients and open line of communication between the client, BRS management and the Project Supervisor is the key to a successful project. Quality includes prompt arrivals, professional appearance, a safety-first attitude, daily progress reports, photo and/or fiber optic documentation and hourly progress toward the completion of the project.
